Anvey pmm-pcp

overview

ANVEY PMM‑PCP is a next‑generation artificial‑lift system built around a permanent‑magnet motor (PMM) that drives a progressive cavity pump without the need for sucker rods. The system delivers 15–98 m³/day per 100 RPM from depths up to 2000 meters, offering high efficiency, deep‑set capability, and long service life in abrasive, solids‑laden wells.

The PMM sits at the base of the assembly and provides high torque with low electrical losses. A circulation impeller mounted on the motor shaft continuously moves well fluid around the motor housing, ensuring thermal distribution even at low flow or high viscosity. Above the motor, a high‑capacity thruster absorbs axial loads and protects the motor bearings from the dynamic thrust generated by the PCP.

A specially engineered orbital tube houses a sealed double‑cardan joint that operates fully immersed in well fluid. This joint converts the PCP rotor’s natural elliptical orbital motion into smooth, concentric rotation for the thruster and motor. The orbital tube includes intake ports that admit well fluid while maintaining structural rigidity and flow efficiency.

The upper section carries the PCP assembly, selected from market‑proven geometries capable of handling solids and abrasive production. The system is completed with flush valves for controlled startup, shutdown, and wellbore cleaning.

A surface controller manages the entire system, providing speed control, torque management, soft‑start/stop, overload protection, thermal monitoring, and production optimization. A special variant of ANVEY PMM‑PCP includes a subsurface pressure and temperature monitoring system, transmitting real‑time downhole data to surface using power‑line carrier communication through the motor power cable. This enables advanced diagnostics, intake pressure control, and early detection of pump‑off, gas interference, or solids loading.

ANVEY PMM‑PCP eliminates the tubing wear, rod wear, and gas leakage issues associated with sucker‑rod‑driven PCPs, delivering a cleaner, safer, and more economical artificial‑lift solution

Why Choose pmm-pcp?

No Rods, No Tubing Wear, No Gas Loss

  • Eliminates the rod‑on‑tubing friction that causes severe wear in conventional PCP systems.
  • Prevents rod buckling, rod parting, and rod/tubing scoring, reducing workovers.
  • Minimizes gas leakage caused by worn tubing and rod‑string movement.
  • Significantly lowers OPEX and improves well integrity.

High‑Efficiency Permanent Magnet Motor

  • High torque at low current draw, ideal for deep installations.
  • Stable performance across long cable lengths.
  • Integrated circulation impeller ensures uniform motor cooling.

Deep‑Set Capability

  • Designed for 2000‑meter installations without thermal or torque limitations.
  • Suitable for deviated and horizontal wells requiring long PCP strings.

Wide Production Flexibility

  • Delivers 15–98 m³/day per 100 RPM, enabling precise pump sizing.
  • Supports low‑rate and high‑rate wells with the same motor platform.

Solids‑Handling PCP

  • Compatible with market‑standard PCP geometries proven for abrasive production.
